Raising Awareness With A Breast Cancer Ribbon

Breast cancer has been made far more public over recent years. Many high profile celeb's are backing breast cancer awareness and October has a special meaning for many people as it is breast cancer awareness month. If you have been affected by cancer in any way, whether a sufferer or a loved one, you will appreciate how important it is to raise awareness for this awful illness as much as possible. Some of these people are survivors of breast cancer themselves. You will see that every one of them will be wearing a breast cancer ribbon.

Just like cancer awareness bracelets, the breast cancer ribbon has evolved from something, which was once just a pink ribbon, into amazing works of art and fine exquisite jewellery. Some of the very posh ones even include gold and pink rhinestones or other gems, so if you want to, you can make a real statement and purchase a fashion accessory at the same. Knowing that the profits will go to charity is just an added bonus. You may also want to know that unlike the poppy, the breast cancer ribbon can be worn all year round and not just in October. After all, the more you wear your ribbon the more people will see it, and the more you will be doing your bit to raise awareness.

Now that the breast cancer ribbon has helped to raise awareness of the disease it's time to give the same treatment to some of the other cancer.
