By eating healthily you will strengthen your immune system and be able to fight off all sorts of illnesses that many people simply cannot deal with. Try replacing animal fat with vegetable fat. This is an excellent start and not difficult to do. Try eating seafood instead of red meat. Much seafood contain anti-cancer properties that will help counter-act some of the colon cancer causes described here and increase your chances of keeping that dreaded disease away. Eat plenty of fibre. Around one in three people do not get enough fibre into their bodies. This causes constipation, discomfort, and stops your bowels working as they should. This can ultimately lead to more serious health problems.

Next we look at Fitness. How many of us take the car to work even if it's only a mile or 2 away? How many of us could reduce traffic, pollution, and make ourselves healthier simply by getting out a bicycle? It's not that hard to get a few simple exercises in a day. Of course if you want to join a gym then that's brilliant! But just starting with a few small steps can make a difference. Lack of exercise is one of the biggest colon cancer causes and so easily reduced. Take the dog for a good long walk everyday. Walk up and down the stairs even if you don't need to. Play outdoor games with the children. Do whatever you can just to get your body moving and your heart pumping at least once a day.
